Led by Carl “The Rev” Wheeler and Tony Lindsay, supported by family member Deborah Beverly-Pugh, the ensemble steps forward with authenticity, excellence, and heart.
Atlanta, Georgia — The Beverly Xperience is officially stepping forward as a live musical ensemble rooted in heritage, musicianship, and the kind of timeless soul audiences have loved for generations. Built on shared history, deep experience, and a commitment to excellence, the group represents a fresh chapter anchored in authenticity, care, and live performance at the highest level.
Led by Carl “The Rev” Wheeler and Tony Lindsay, The Beverly Xperience includes Vernon “Ice” Black, Ronnie Lindsey, Larry Wims Jr., Kevin “FlyGuyByrd” Lloyd, Cecil Green, and Marlon B. “Wild Bill” Curry. Together, the ensemble brings decades of touring, recording, and stage experience to a sound and presentation shaped by discipline, groove, and soul.
“For more than 25 years, I had the honor of serving as an organist, keyboardist, background vocalist, and musical director alongside Frankie Beverly. He was more than a performer; he was a soulful force. Every time he stepped onstage, people felt his spirit, his authenticity, and his love. Working alongside him was a gift, and I am committed to carrying that silky, soulful sound forward with excellence.”
“It is a tremendous honor to help carry this music forward. I had the pleasure of sharing the stage during Frank’s final shows, and that memory stays with me. My commitment is to pay homage to the music and the people who love it with heart, care, and excellence.”
“Frank and I were first cousins, we loved each other and were very close. The Beverly Xperience is linked to heritage, my family heritage and the band’s journey with Frank. This is a fresh new band moving forward with love, integrity, and excellence, and we show respect to him by treating the music with the care it deserves.”
At its core, The Beverly Xperience is about stewardship, recognizing a beloved musical tradition while moving forward with clarity, discipline, and respect. This announcement marks a new phase for the ensemble as it prepares for broader visibility and future live engagements.
